| The best thing about Roberts and Holland's site is that they clearly spent quite a bit of time thinking through how people would use the site. Example: when reading a publication, at the top of the page you are told the author (which is linked to the author's bio), the publication date, the publication, and the full text of the article is included. At the bottom, you have the option of returning to the publications page or to the home page, as well as having all navigation options available to you on the left. The result is that you will never feel lost at this site - and considering the amount of content that's here, that's saying something. Our complaints are relatively minor, but bear mentioning: their use of frames precludes intuitive page titles, and the attorney bios are very uneven. We'd like to see phone numbers included with the bios at a minimum, and ideally more information about each attorney's practice and experience. In some cases, we were lucky if we saw where they went to school and what practice area they're in. Though the presentation is not terribly exciting, it gets the job done - and prospective clients, as well as existing clients, will find a lot to be happy with in this site. |
