Klau, the book RedStreet's Best Legal Websites 2000 includes the research methodology, analysis, and statistics behind the reviews; detailed scores in 50 categories for the nation's largest 300 law firms; and details about the best website designers. |

But they are professionally designed, so the firm's presentation score is unaffected by our opinion on this point. When you search for an attorney, it's not immediately obvious that profiles are available, because the links to the profiles pages are not underlined. The profile pages themselves make poor use of white space and use too many font faces and styles. The scrolling text on the "Articles & Resources" page is distracting, annoying, and a tired cliche. A handful of articles are here, but (again) you have to guess that the red text is what you're supposed to click. The "Research Links" page included at least one outdated link (http://law.house.gov/89.htm). We don't recommend including "Links" pages unless you are going to keep them updated and unless they are focused narrowly. Lists were poorly organized, such as on the "Overview & Practice Areas" page. If you have to stare at a page to try to figure it out, the page is not well designed. |
