Use two frames max, and use mouseover graphics for the visual feedback in the navigation frame so that that frame can remain cached at all times (i.e. so that that frame does not have to be reloaded in each new section). Attorney profiles used the narrative style but omitted photographs and phone numbers. Prompted by the example on the search page, we searched for "patent law," only to find that the majority of the found files were password-protected. And the search engine output didn't include summary information, only page titles, and the page titles were not bookmark-friendly. There was not a separate listing in the navigation bar for publications. Some practice areas included online substantive content, others did not. The confusing search engine didn't help us find files of interest.
