A smartly-designed home page with excellent use of white space (blue, actually) and helpful mouseover visual clues. This professionally designed home page also outlines a simple site structure and makes an excellent first impression. Inside, organization is not quite as good. We feel that it's difficult to execute a frames presentation with more two frames, and this site struggles with an awkward three-frame presentation. For example, we had to return to the home page to see if all of the elements identified there were identified on the "Practice Areas" page. They were, but it wasn't obvious at first, because we had to scroll to find the link to the search engine. Attorney profiles used the narrative style and were longer than most we've seen. Also, photographs, e-mail addresses, and phone numbers were not included. Only the firm's antitrust and intellectual property groups had substantive content online, a couple of pieces each. The color scheme, including the background colors, changed throughout the site, which we found puzzling and distracting. Pick a color scheme and stick to it. Search engine output was not helpful. Only the titles of found pages was returned. And since bookmark-friendly titles were not used, the output was practically useless.
