Behind The Reviews

Another site that uses cookies. Why? We're not sure. The home page graphics are professional and polished, and the home page proclaims the firm as "Michigan's Law Firm." We're guessing there's a firm or two besides this one practicing in Michigan. The home page contains over 100 Kbytes of graphics, which means that it will take about 30 seconds to load the page over a 28.8 Kbps connection. And an automatic deduction for the three Microsoft buttons/cliches on the home page. Inside, an awkward three-frame presentation is slowed by more large gratuitous graphics. Recruiting information was included in the "About" section, which is not where we'd look for this information. A better approach would be to included a recruiting link on the main navigation bar. Attorney profiles use a combination narrative/resume style effectively, but a four-frame presentation is used here. So good luck if you want to print out information about a particular attorney. You'll have to separately print two frames. Not exactly user friendly. One firm newsletter (medical liability, 11/97) is included under the "News" section. The site's other major sections (Quality, Technology, and Focus) give little clue about what content is there (hint: not much). We'd also add a search engine once there is more content to search.
