Welcome to our review of Nixon Hargrave's home page. This firm does the smart thing by highlighting new content on the home page, but it also makes the mistake of labeling it "What's New" and doesn't date anything. New since when? The firm does not use bookmark-friendly page titles, so if you bookmark a page from this site, you'll have no idea where the page came from when you refer back to your bookmarks file. Ten of the firm's newsletters are available online under "Publications," including several on tax law. Other useful substantive content appears under "Legal Issues." We almost missed these and think that all substantive content from "Publications" and "Legal Issues" should be in the same section of the site. We feel the same way about the "Y2K Issues" and "NHDD News" sections. The firm also includes legal links on its site, but we feel a simple link to FindLaw accomplishes much more. Graphics are second rate, and a search engine would be a welcome addition, especially since the content is scattered throughout the site.
