The home page certainly presents a professional image, but the total graphics on the two pages adds up to about 130 Kbytes, which means that it will take about a minute to load the home page over a 28.8 Kbps connection. Attorney profiles are located under "Directory," and they use the narrative style effectively. Although the site contains professional graphics, not as much attention appears to have been paid to font selection and page layout. On some pages, the text appeared (in Netscape) in all bold typeface, which we found difficult to read. And the "Law Sites" section includes framed links to other Web sites. Since TotalNews (www.totalnews.com) was sued for framing other sites without permission (see http://cnnfn.com/digitaljam/9703/04/total_news_pkg/), we question the wisdom of a law firm following a similar practice. A simple search returned "Error E3-0032 (VDK): Collection C:/Netscape/Server/plugins/search/collections/Everything is not currently available," so we assume the search engine is broken.
