The home page is clearly professionally designed, but the designers forgot about the fact that the scroll bar takes up screen space, so although it appears they tried to pay attention to the width of the page, left-right scrolling still results. Inside, page titles include the name of the firm, but after the name of the page and/or section, which is the exact opposite of how bookmark-friendly titles should be designed. A better design choice is to follow Yahoo's example and let the name of the firm come first. There was some substantive content online, but for many, you had to fill out a form to request them. Not exactly user-friendly. The search engine output was OK, but we're not sure who will bother to search for articles that cannot be instantly accessed. The "In Court" section was under construction. The other sections also all began with the word "In," which we found confusing (e.g. "In Seminar" and "In Sites" seemed particularly oddly named). There were two navigation bars (top and bottom), and we found that we had to switch between the two to make sure we hadn't missed anything. Oddly, trying to access Web sites associated with domain names owned by the former Petree Stockton LLP (www.petree.com) and the former Kilpatrick & Cody (www.kilcody.com) resulted in DNS errors. A better approach would be to have the former sites point to, or redirect to, the new site of the new merged firm.
