Don't get us wrong, we like graphics, but content is still king. The site features three main areas of content: links to other equine sites, articles, and cases. In the cases section (if you're interested - we were), you can find out about racing, licensing, tax, and intellectual property issues. For example, you can read about how the UCC was applied to the sale of a studless stud (see Alpert v. Thomas under "Ownership and Transfer of Horses and Interests in Horses "), where the court ruled that because the seller knew the horse was being bought for breeding, custom and usage in the horse trade indicates that the implied warranty of merchantability includes the warranty that the stallion is fertile and capable of getting a mare in foal. Who said horse law was dull! |
