The lack of any consistent navigational aid once inside the site is a big hindrance: it is the hub-and-spokes model, which presumes that if you're down one path, you'll want to return to the center before going down another. Most web users don't work this way, of course, which is why a navigation bar or some other navigational aid is necessary: if in the process of reading an attorney bio we want to read a practice group description, we ought to be able to do that. With Hodgson Russ Andrews Woods & Goodyear's site, however, you're required to hit the "back" button however many times you've clicked on something until you return to the home page - so that you can then start your next foray inwards. Practice group descriptions are decent, as are attorney bios (which do a good job of providing all contact info). |
