Kudos to Haynes & Boone for knowing its audience. The firm, which is based in Dallas, Texas, realized that some percentage of its visitors would be Spanish-speaking. Rather than run the risk of hoping those Spanish-speakers were also fluent in English, Haynes & Boone provide a version of their site in Spanish. The entire site is available in Spanish - which is something we're surprised more firms haven't done. (Not necessarily with Spanish, but with any language: what about firms with offices internationally? Do they assume that all clients just speak English?) Using a chess board motif that carries throughout the site, the designers have put together an outstanding site that conveys authority. Information is well presented, and in some cases unique. (The "Spotlight Attorney" is a good idea... and led us to what we are fairly certain is the only photograph of a lawyer with a rhinoceros on the web.) The attorney bios are much more narrative than most - instead of a dry description of schools attended and degrees conferred, Haynes & Boone goes to great lengths to talk about WHO the attorney is. The titles of a few subsections were confusing - we wouldn't necessarily know that "Connections" would bring up a list of practice areas, or that "Leading Edge" would list news about the firm - but the content itself is readable.
