| Someone must have told the reviewer that using icons to represent subsections was a good thing... but must have forgotten to add that it's generally a good idea if you use common symbols that the symbols have SOMETHING to do with the sections they represent. At Gardner, Carton and Douglas, we were distracted by trying to figure out what an "equals" sign has to do with "Attorney Recruiting", or what a "plus" sign has to do with something called the World Law Group. With that said, there are some really nice innovations here to like: take the attorney directory, for example. You have the option of searching by name, language spoken, position (partner, associate, etc.), location, alphabet, and practice area. Now THAT'S user-friendly. The search engine interface is equally impressive, and provides several different ways of accessing information on the site. The presentation is impressive, though we recommend using text when necessary (several pages have images that are nothing more than text). |
