We really like this home page. Professional graphics, excellent page layout, and a logical file/directory structure. Plus the presentation is more relaxed than most that we've seen (which is a good thing). Right at the top of the home page is "Publications," so that's where we went first. We'd suggest that you list your best content first as Fish & Richardson does, to encourage people to go to you most heavily-visited sections. The firm specialized in intellectual property and technology law, and the "Publications" section includes an excellent amount of substantive content in this area. Our only complaint with this section is that some of the content is undated. We usually don't find anything of value in "About our Firm" sections, but in the "About F&R" section, we recommend checking out the clever print advertisements that F&R users. This is the best use of humor that we've ever seen in a law firm site. (For a counter-example, see www.andersonkill.com.) A minor complaint is that the left navigation frame changes. If it is kept constant, the two-frame presentation will benefit from the left frame getting cached by site visitors. Even the "Useful Links" section is, in fact, useful. Most firms try to do a FindLaw-like list of links and fail. This firm concentrates on its strengths - intellectual property and technology - and succeeds. And the search engine was faster than most. Overall, a strong site that leaves an excellent impression of the firm and of its strengths.
