You'll have to really want to read if you hope to come away with a good impression of Day Berry & Howard's site. The description of practice groups is exceedingly long - in our experience, visitors to web sites want the information digestible. Keeping page lengths to a more manageable length (no more than six or seven screens of information) would make this site more user-friendly... on an 800x600 screen, the "Commercial Litigation" section still ran nineteen screens of information! We doubt many are interested in THAT much information. Attorney bios are decent - phone, fax and e-mail are all included - but the narratives vary by attorney. Some are detailed, while others state simply "So-and-so is an associate in the real estate department." Surely they did something in law school? As for navigation, the persistent navigation frame on the left is useful, but a frame is probably unnecessary (the same functionality could be achieved with tables, which has the added advantage of allowing users to bookmark pages). There are no "graphics" on the site - lots of text that are presented as graphics, but nothing approaching a design motif carried out through the site. Most of the pieces are here (notably absent is any content - like newsletters - that would bring you back to the site), but the execution is somewhat uninspired.
