We like the effect - and the color scheme seems well-suited for print collateral as well (which provides for a uniform "identity", something many firms are searching for). We like that contact info was included on just one page - make it EASY for people to find you, not difficult. Once inside the site, the use of frames steals a lot of valuable screen real estate for navigational options - we applaud any attempt to make a site easier to navigate, but wonder whether that much room had to be given up. The result is a very small "content" window - which makes reading anything of length quite difficult. Attorney bios include only an option of e-mailing the attorney (no phone or fax numbers), and even then you don't find out the e-mail address: you must fill out a form that is submitted to the attorney. We think printing contact info on the bio shows that you're encouraging people to contact you in whatever way they feel appropriate; if, for some reason, they don't want to use the form, they have no other option. The recruiting information is some of the best we've seen: clearly this was designed with high-caliber law students in mind. There does not appear to be any original content on the site, making this an elaborate brochure, but not much else. |
