We've never been a big fan of disclaimers, but this firm managed to make us like them even less. Upon loading the home page, a SECOND browser window opens with a nine paragraph collection of disclaimers about e-mail, the web site, and other various issues. We understand that disclaimers may be necessary - but put them where they belong. Put them on the page that has e-mail links to specific attorneys if you're worried about the transmission of sensitive information. Put them above newsletters if you're worried about people relying on them as legal advice. But don't waste our system resources by opening a second window and asking us to read through several pages of legalese. Talk about poor first impressions. On top of that, when we finally get to the home page, we find out that the site is "currently undergoing a major revision. Check back with us as new features come on-line."
