The venerable venable.com site is starting to show its age. The server is painfully slow, and we were accessing it at T1 speeds. The home page is much too long and gives us little idea about the structure of the site. Sure there is lots of content, but itÍs unorganized. Many of the links on the home page are undated or incompletely (i.e. no year is shown) dated. Even the items marked ñnewî are undated. New since when? The content is strong, focusing on information law and intellectual property law. Links to Martindale-Hubbell lawyer profiles are included, and there is a primitive search engine. Venable was one of the first law firms to establish a Web site, but their site has not kept up with the times. With a professional make-over (and a faster server), their site could again be a market leader.
