| | | Behind The Reviews Written by RedStreet founders Erik J. Heels and Richard P. Klau, the book RedStreet's Best Legal Websites 2000 includes the research methodology, analysis, and statistics behind the reviews; detailed scores in 50 categories for the nation's largest 300 law firms; and details about the best website designers. |

Most importantly, there is consistent "fresh" content, a good sign that the firm has committed to the Web site as a way to attract repeat visitors, not to mention as a way to forge a stronger relationship with its clients. The graphics are plain but not amateurish, and the navigation options are present on all pages (although the navbar uses an older server-side imagemap, and the map file sits on ljx.com as opposed to phjw.com). Why the firm chose to make "Announcements," "Newsletters/Seminars," and "Attorney Articles" separate categories isn't clear - the first two point to the same file, and the third offers no content (just a list of articles that are available offline). The use of numbers for file names is counterintuitive, and the "Questions? Comments?" section gives only an e-mail address. We would prefer a fill-out form that would provide users with a simple way to submit comments or questions. |
