An otherwise well-designed site, the 111 K background image causes the site to load agonizingly slow. The image could be shrunk to less than 10 K by reducing its height and width alone. The site structure is solid; just about everything is exactly where you would expect it. Some questionable decisions were made in laying out the pages, however. In "Practice Areas," we don't like using images to show text. This adds to the time needed to load the page, and it doesn't add anything to the page. We'd prefer it if the images served a purpose; otherwise, use text! The contact info, while not on the home page, is conveniently available and displays all relevant information, and even links to the firm's Martindale-Hubbell entry for each office. Numerous articles are available, but none of them have dates. This reduces their usefulness, as the reader doesn't know how current they might be. Navigation is seamless through the first two levels, but as you get deeper into the site, it gets more difficult. Adding navbars and lightening the graphics (the site is text-heavy, and much of the imagery is black and gray) would help improve this site's overall experience.
