Flash Bulletin: Conkle & Olestenobtains adjudication that insurer is under a duty to defend patent infringementclaims
Conkle & Olesten represents Jordache Enterprises, Inc.in a claim against National Casualty for breach of  its duty to defenda lawsuit for infringement of the process and look of acid wash denim garments. National Casualty had issued Comprehensive General Liability (CGL) insurancepolicies to Jordache.  C&O obtained an award of $1.580,000 againstNational Casualty.  The award included, a finding that the patentinfringement claims against Jordache were potentially within the coverageof Jordache's CGL policy, and that National Casualty breached its dutyto defend Jordache.
 
 
Flash Bulletin: Conkle & Olestenwill represent Jordache in the California Supreme Court
Conkle & Olesten represents Jordache Enterprises, Inc.,in a legal malpractice action against Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison. Jordache was previously represented by Brobeck in litigation against Guess?Jeans. The California Supreme Court will consider Brobeck's claim thatit can avoid liability to Jordache on statute of limitations grounds. The hearing is expected to occur in early 1998.  Keep posted for furtherdetails.
